stylish orphan child and it's moving day!

Here's a picture of Jed at the new house. He was being very helpful one night and put his whole hand in a can of paint then smeared it in his hair. We took some pictures then cleaned him up and styled his hair. We called him our orphan child when we were at the house working because the poor kid was dressed like we picked him up off the street. He wore the ugliest sweater and pants from DI pretty much everyday, but he was still as cute as ever!
Jake and I decided it isn't a holiday in less we are moving so luckily we were able to close on our house last night... just in time to eat some turkey while we are unpacking. We are very thankful to have extra help from Jamie, Sarah, Kristi, Grandma Annie, and Grandpa Kerry. They should help get the job done fast. We are super excited to begin making big mortgage payments, do our own household maintenance instead of calling the maintenance man, and experience all the other benefits a happy homeowner enjoys. Fun Birthday Party!

Dear Family,

Grandma Bonnie's birthday party was so fun! Scott and Tracy, thanks so much for hosting us, it was really fun to see your beautiful home. Alaina had a blast playing on the horse toy. Jamie, thanks so much for helping us think of things we are grateful for! We are just sorry that we got there late and then had to leave early. :( Doing things at night are always hard for us. We loved seeing everybody. The tacos were awesome! The turkey feather making was so fun, and it was just wonderful seeing everybody. Did we get a vote on changing the blog name? Post your suggestions here. I will make the change as soon as I have a unanimous vote from at least 5 family members.... Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!

Your Questions Answered

Hi Family!

Some of you have been wondering how exactly to use this thing. Let my explain and we'll see if it is a little easier for you guys. When you sign in and are viewing the blog, you go to the upper right hand corner where it says "new post." Clicking that will let you post something to the main page, where everybody can see it. This is where you can post pictures and video; you can also choose font and colors. There is a little picture and video icon in the posting window. This is where you want to type all your stuff. If you type something as a comment, it will not be shown on the main page. It just means you are commenting on the post. Not everybody will see the comment. Does that make sense? Play around with it and let us know if you have any more questions.

Hi Family!

I like Jamie's idea of having a rummy tournament. I bet Grandma Bonnie would like it too. I am planning on making her some scrapbook pages too. Rich and I are putting in a vote for a Saturday party.

the kids living in richfield transitioning to centerfield say...

This is a great idea! Smart thinking Rich and Steph. It will be fun to see what everyone is up to so post, post, post! As for the name of the blog page... if we were to change it, I like thelasschelamfam.
Life down here in Central Utah has been busy. We are so close to finishing our house. We have spent many early mornings and late nights working to finish our portion (tiling, painting, and electrical) but the end is almost in site. We should move within the next couple weeks... hopefully before Thanksgiving! Jed is starting to use walking as his primary mode of transportation but he isn't fully convinced walking is the fastest or most efficient. He has a turbo engine when it comes to crawling.
As for Grandma's Birthday... sounds like a great idea. If the house doesn't interfere (our original close date is the 16th but it might be later) we would love to try to come. I know she loves the scrapbooking pages but mostly likes to have everyone together. What's everyones plan for Thanksgiving?

Jamie Says...

Famleeee! This is lots of fun. I am in DC with Jen finishing my trip. It started in upstate NY with Grandma and Kathy. Palmyra, Niagra and a state park that mixed the two.... colors/leaves and waterfalls. While there, grandma mentioned how she has always wanted one of those plug in water falls you can buy. You plug them in and they make the sound of water trickeling (which makes me need to go to the little girls room!) But grandma said she would love one to plug in and just sit back in her recliner. She loves the sound and was totally happy just to listen to the falls of Niagra. That might be an idea for a birthday or christmas gift and the scrapbook for the other. What do you all think?

I'm all about parties. Let's do it! Nov 17 or 18 would be great. Are we getting together for Christmas this year too? Oh... and grandma would love a Honeymoon Rummey tournament. I can head this up if it is okay with everyone. She loves that game and Pinocle as well. It would be fun to play for her big birthday party.

Love,
jAmiE

Grandma Bonnie's Birthday

W&J Dymock Fam said...

Dear Lassche-Lam Fam Members:

We had a fun birthday celebration for Sean's big #22 yesterday here in Paradise. You'll have to ask Richard, Sean and Mark about the ping pong tournament...there are definitely some powerhouse players in the family! We had so much fun that we wondered when our next family party might be; and we thought about Grandma Bonnie's birthday on Nov 17. We thought would be fun to get together in Kamas either that Sat Nov 17 or Sun 18th.

GIFT IDEA: She enjoyed the scrapbook pages so much last year, that we thought it might be a good idea to just keep that as an "ongoing" gift-giving tradition for her. So anyone who would like to contribute scrapbook pages for her album, please feel free to do so for birthday or Christmas. She's still doing the 8 1/2 x 11 size, so remember to make your sheets that size. Also, include your name on each page you make, so she'll know who the "artist" is. Thanks.

ANY OTHER GIFT IDEAS? Please email back or post it on the Lamfamblog!

PARTY IDEAS? We're just sending out the general party idea...and haven't thought any further. So if you have any suggestions for food or festivities, please post it on the blog. Wayne and I are coming down that weekend, so we can meet anytime either day - except for Sat between 3-5 pm and Sunday during church in Kamas from 8-11 am.

Hope to hear from all of you soon!

Love

New Blog name?

Dear Family,

We love this blog idea, but we want the name and url of the blog to be reflective of our whole family. We would love to have you post your ideas for a blog name that includes all of us Lassches and Lamberts. Some ideas could be Lam-Lass-Fam, McCormick Descendents, Bonnie Jean's Posterity, etc. Please post your ideas here, either on the blog or in the comments section. We can vote on the name and make a new blog and new web address. If we don't hear from anyone in the next week, we will assume you all like the blog the way it is, and we will keep the status quo.
Thanks!

Stephanie and Richard

Welcome!

Welcome to our new family blog! Over the weekend, Julie, Richard and Steph thought it would be a cool idea to set up a blog where everybody can post stuff and we can keep up with everybody. This is a really easy program to use and we hope everybody likes it. Blog away! :)
